2001 MCI F3500 Bus Conversion 35' Long 102" Wide, Factory Raised Roof.

BUS HISTORY:

This coach was one of two built exactly the same except for the interior colors for a coach company in New York City to make casino runs. The company I purchased it from in South Carolina was a limo company who spent a large sum of money refurbishing the inside, upgrading TV’s and sound equipment and a new paint job last year. To negotiate my deal, I allowed them to take all the big screen TV’s out and sound equipment along with limo seating to accommodate my motor home situation. This put the bus back to a virtual shell when I purchased it.

Two double recliners were left with a table between them and the front TV. We have added a new sofa, built walls, closets, including two extra bunks. A kitchen galley was built with double door house style fridge, built-in micro with sink/60” countertop and cabinets. The bar area was taken out leaving the restroom private with toilet and vanity. A shower and linen closet was placed in the bar area. The rear seating area was converted to a queen size island bed with storage underneath and closets on each side with storage at the head. It has made a very usable interior layout. It gives you four seating at the table, three on the sofa - seven seats not including the driver. The bunks are 32” by 76”; it sleeps 2 on the bunks, 2 bed and 1 on sofa for a total of 5. It would be very easy to reconfigure making the 2 bunks into 3 if needed. Or, the rear queen bed could be removed with bunks on both sides to accommodate more bedding.

Coach has 26” wide screen HDTV in front with a fairly new KVH tracvision R6 in motion satellite. I have upgraded to the interface module that allows you to use any home receiver DirecTV or Dish Network. This was a $500 upgrade. The drivers area has Kenwood AM/FM/CD.

The coach has a 12KW Onan quiet diesel commercial generator that was serviced and gone through just before my purchase. I replaced brushes recently. Generator is in great condition.

There are 2 - 13.5 Carrier Roof Airs with a vent in the middle which is wired for a third A/C if needed. It has 95 gallon black holding tank, 50 gallon fresh water with new pump. Dump valves on both sides, one is electric.

Rear back up camera with sound.  Automatic Leveling System

There is a 60amp AC/DC converter for house lights and charging house battery. A 5,000 Watt 24Volt inverter which will run an A/C, water heater or micro while driving without running the generator. A charging cable has been installed to keep the 24V inverter batteries charged while driving with a cutoff to keep from discharging the coach batteries.

All batteries including the coach are NEW.

This coach and interior when first built was over $300,000. The ceiling, wall panels, mirrors, numerous halogen lighting and rope lighting is very elegant. This is a very quiet, well built interior. The color scheme is black and tan.

RUNING GEAR:

The coach has a Cummins ISC 350 hp engine with 223,000 miles. Transmission is HD3000 MH 6 speed; tires are 11R24.5 Alcoa wheels; tires are in fair condition; when I purchased the coach I had the engine put on the computer and checked; the results showed no fault or problem history an the mileage verified. We spent $4-5,000 getting everything tip-top including rebuilt alternator and regulator, all belts and batteries, complete exhaust system including brackets and hangers, along with a few other small items which needed attention. There are no known repairs needed to this coach....  Exception .....  I had an encounter with a brick retainer wall in a dark parking lot on a recent trip. Of the 11 buses and 3/4 million miles this is a first for me. There is small area of damage on right rear baggage door at bottom. Probably 3-400 dollars to repair. I will compensate more than double cost to buyer even though cost of coach is still way below average.

If this coach had no interior the shell alone would be worth 50-60K even in this distressed economy. It would be easy to add or remove anything to use as a Day Coach or Executive Coach or any changes to suite your liking or need. This is one of the best bus deals in the US.

FAQ:

What is the fuel mileage? At 65-68mph you can get 10+mpg. Hard running 70-75mph, 8.5-9mpg.

What is coach interior height? 6’10” the bus was built by MCI with factory raised roof and all double pane slider windows.
